Australia’s Most Famous Exports!
Australia has a huge export industry, and Australian products can be found all over the world. This varies from coal and other minerals, to meat and dairy and some more bizarre exports...
Here is a list of the Top Ten best and most famous Australian Exports which probably includes a few surprises for most of us.
Famous Australian Exports
Beef
There’s a reason why Australian beef is up there with the greatest beef on earth. Australia’s unique climate and environment provides perfect growing conditions to raise premium cattle and when it comes to taste, tenderness, flavour and quality, nothing comes close. Luckily for you Breakfast Champion imports most of our beef products from Australia!
Vegemite
Vegemite and Australia are like England and fish and chips. If you have a friend who has never tried it, get a teaspoon of the stuff in their mouth as fast as you can. Their reaction will be amazing. Made from yeast extract like marmite… this stuff is either love it or hate it.
Fun fact: Vegemite- was a wartime substitute for marmite and it’s name was picked out of a hat!
Neighbours
Everybody needs good Neighbours. Neighbours is an Australian institution! We are sure most people haven’t spoken to their Neighbours in about 10 years, so Ramsey Street, where you never need to go anywhere else is like a fantasy land.
Ugg Boots
Possibly the most amazing shoes ever made when it comes to comfort. Evidenced by the mass production of cheap knock-offs throughout the entire world! Even if they are not your cup of tea, they do make great slippers.
Kylie Minogue
You don’t have to like her music but honestly who doesn’t like Kylie? She’s beautiful, stylish and cool, she is a symbol of Australia.
Fun fact: Kylie has sold more than 70 millions albums worldwide
Fosters
Possibly the most random of all Australian exports because it’s branded as the ultimate Australian product but nowhere in Australia would you be seen dead drinking it, that is if you manage to find any…
Hugh Jackman
One of the most incredible bodies the world has ever seen. Thank you Australia.
The Combine Harvester
We thought this was British… and apparently so did the Wurzels - “I’ve got a brand new combine harvester.” (If you haven’t heard this song play it right now.) Australia actually invented and sold this to the world.
TimTams
Becoming more and more popular and surfacing in more and more supermarkets, TimTams are officially the most delicious treat ever. This Australian product is an export to keep an eye out for.
Fun fact - Australians eat 45 million packets of timtams a year! Also they were named after a horse that won the Kentucky Derby!
